We’re looking for a medical assistant who can support both clinical and administrative tasks. This role involves working directly with patients, preparing them for procedures, helping with basic clinical duties, and keeping the workflow organized. The right candidate is patient-focused, dependable, and comfortable balancing hands-on care with routine office work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, verify information, and update records in the system.
  • Prepare patients for exams or procedures.
  • Take and record vital signs, histories, and other basic clinical information.
  • Assist with specimen collection and handling as needed.
  • Support providers with clinical tasks within the scope of practice.
  • Maintain clean, well-stocked exam areas and equipment.
  • Manage scheduling, phone calls, and messages when needed.
  • Process forms, documentation, and routine billing or insurance tasks.
  • Follow safety, infection-control, and confidentiality procedures.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • MA certification preferred (AAMA, AMT, or state-specific certification).
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
  • Solid computer and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and handle patient needs calmly.


Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in a clinic, mobile care, or outpatient setting.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems.
  • Comfort working with a wide range of patient ages and conditions.


Physical and Other Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and manage routine clinical equipment.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background screening if required.


Schedule and Work Environment

  • Details: shift expectations, weekend needs, travel expectations if supporting mobile services.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay $22 per hour, non-benefits, performance bonuses.
